Maxine Silvera-Mirekam: the queen of Moonbroke, the heroine of the original story. I forget exactly why she started the whole journey thingy, but apparently it had something to do with not being able to make decisions for herself or something. i forget why. maybe she was just bored. (to be fair, this WAS like 10 years ago..) anyway, in my more recent stories, she's married to Dyluck and they have a 11-16 year old daughter named Marina. i say 11-16 because her age varies from story to story. and i don't know why. I also forget why maxine married ol' lucky in the first place cuz they're like polar opposites. Maxine's a kind, caring, people kinda person while dyluck's a stupid bastard.

 

Dyluck Mirekam: psychotic king and perpetual tragic hero of moonbroke. in just about every story i write, he's killed, be it by being thrown in an iron maiden, possessed by a vengeful demon and commits suicide by accident, stabbed by one of his apparently not-so-loyal subjects or hunted down by everyone's favorite ukulele player and demented wizard, ghaleon. Everyone but Maxine and Marina hates him, including his brother tash, who he shot in the eye once with a crossbow thinking he was ghaleon. (read: drunken fury.) dyluck's the kind of guy who acts without thinking ALL THE TIME. Oh, i failed to mention that in his earlier years, he was captured by a gang of lizard people and used in an experiment to seal off a demon named zemus... who presently inhabits the body of the young king and constantly makes jokes about his lack of intelligence. Doran has performed several exorcisms but zemus just doesn't want to leave.

 

Tao Selash: born Tao Ranclair in the empire of Mysidia, the Magic city of the angels, where the people grow wings that represent their allegiance to Mitula (the light angel, the wings are white) or Madante (the dark angel, the wings are black) Since the myths and legends of mysidia are incredibly complicated, i'll just say this. there was an uprising of Madante's followers and the whitewings were all killed off or driven out of mysidia. it'll all be clearer when i post the two stories up. ANYhoo, to make a long story relatively short, Tao is one of the last remaining whitewings that wants to liberate mysidia so she can avenge her friends and family.

 

Doran Selash: Apprentice to the mind mage Sei Morden, brother of the conceited master mage Zio Selash, childhood friend of both maxine and tao, umm.. what else is there.. oh, yeah, he cheats death quite a bit. and is telepathic. spends most of his time reading complicated books and playing poker with Dyluck, Setzer, Tash, Kyo (recently deceased) and Kalon (always deceased). Once, in a blind rage, he tried to destroy the world. apparently everyone forgave him. except maybe dyluck, who hates him with a passion.

 

Mogu Kree: a cute lil' mole dude with apparently the same face as sonic the hedgehog. He and Domingo the floating blob of jelly and seaweed are often found on the castle grounds throwing handfuls of disoriented killer bees at each other. Mogu was once a castle guard but was constantly found sleeping on the job so his post was passed on to Kalon, who couldn't sleep if he tried. Mogu is the apparent "love interest" of the young princess of moonbroke, but nobody can quite understand why. It's probably because he's the only one around that's her age.

 

Wren Holt: a cyborg that for some reason exists in a technologically deprived world. He's quite humanlike in both appearance and mannerisms, and is deeply devoted to his friends. He considers himself Tao's bodyguard and rarely lets her out of his sight. Tao doesn't appreciate this.

 

Sei Morden: the creepy and cryptic sage that is Doran's mentor. He doesn't talk much and usually locks himself in his room for some "quiet time." He's actually worshipped as a god in the city of Shrike, but sadly all the Shrikians died in a war so now he's got like maybe three followers. I don't think he cares much anyway.

 

Kyo/Maxfield Masida (A.K.A. "Jaguar"): This mess was Tao's husband until he died or went nuts or something. He had been cursed by some dude and made to look like a werecat. apparently the curse lifted somehow (original story, go figure) and now he "looks nothing like Setzer." Actually, his more recent appearances revealed that he was actually a demon of mysidia and Ghaleon killed him.

 

Ghaleon Kavlar: the savior of Mysidia and mortal enemy of the king of moonbroke. He's the son of Calisac Kavlar, a truly twisted man who's known for his methods of "getting information". Ghaleon (who doesn't play the ukulele nor is attracted to mario) escaped Mysidia before the darkwings took over and fled to Kulsadanna, the elven kingdom, for protection. He's the father of Kestin Dahnla, the coolest half-elf character ever. Why is his last name Dahnla? Because Ghaleon told everyone in Kulsadanna that his name was "Nash Dahnla," just in case the darkwings would ever come looking for him. In case you were wondering, Nash Dahnla was Ghal's apprentice, but he died somehow and i forget the details.

 

Kestin Dahnla/Kavlar: The only survivor of the Laybanian invasion of Mysidia, thus he is severely traumatized. He generally hates people unless they give him a good enough reason not to, and usually he doesn't give them the chance. He still wants to fight Masaca's clan but is both physically and mentally unable to do so. He was recently captured by the wolves and faces execution.

 

Marina Mirekam: the princess of Moonbroke. She was training to be a healer, but I think that has fallen by the wayside since her teacher disappeared. After hearing Tao speak of the tragedies in Mysidia, Marina decided to get out there and help as best she could, trying to remedy all the problems her father had caused. She was also captured while trying to free Kestin from his cell in Masaca's prison.

 

Zylo Lavallen: the werewolf bodyguard of Queen Maxine. Deeply devoted to her and her family, but also serves the Matriarch of his clan, Masaca. He is torn between the both of them, but knows in his heart that he has to help his own people. Against his better judgement, he joins the invasion of Mysidia.

 

 

there's several dozen more characters to write about but i'm gettting a ferocious pain in my wrists. stay tuned.
